This winter, the homeless of Portsmouth face freezing nights and wet, windy weather as the British winter sets in.
Temperatures last year reached 5ºC at night, with 70mm of rain and winds of 15.7mph including gusts reaching 22.8mph, winter is a very tough season for people living on our streets.
This year, Helping Hands Portsmouth are running a winter sleeping bag campaign. You can help the homeless men and women of Portsmouth stay warm this winter by donating £20 which will buy a 4-season sleeping bag providing warmth from temperatures as low as -5ºC.
Helping Hands Portsmouth are dedicating £400 to buy 20 sleeping bags, but we need 3 times that at least.
Please, would you sponsor one quality sleeping bag this year? Your kindness will directly help a person sleeping rough in Portsmouth and may save their life.
